  1. I want more information and control when ad-adware free antivirus detects a virus. I certainly don't want email databases corrupted by ad-aware doing what it thinks best. And the pop ups often go unnoticed. False positives can be as painful as a virus. Thanks.
  2. In unitstalled and reinstalled ad-adware 11 free due to a registration problem on my Windows 8 64-bit PC. Despite not asking for the deskop icon nor Active Web Protection security toolbar I got both which I've deleted and uninstalled respectively. But now when I customise my system tray I see: Ad-Aware tray AdAwareTray.exe I don't believe AdAwareTray.exe is active. What's going on here please?
  3. In the free version there doesn't appear to be any action settings for when the real-time component detects malware. On the previous version 10 it detected one of my own written programs as malware and deleted it without trace. Fortunately I had a copy and version 11 no longer thinks it's malware. I tested version 11 with eicar.com and it quarantined it. Hopefully at some point in the future there'll be an option in ad-aware to allow me to specify what action should be performed. In the meantime I am wondering does the real-time component in version 11 always quarantine malware?
  4. Need option to delay initial update check after starting please. I'd like a way to stop Free Antivirus from checking for udates immediately after starting. I want my PC to boot up and be usable as fast as possible. Initially delaying Antivirus checking for updates by 3 - 5 minutes should do it. I'd like an option/configuration setting or even a dreaded registry key to do this (like the INI file setting for Avast). Many thanks.
  5. Ok thanks for confirming. Would be nice if you could add this functionality (even if it's a dreaded registry key) to the otherwise excellent software please.
  6. Is there a way I can stop Free Antivirus + 10 checking for udates immediately after starting? I want my PC to boot up and be usable as fast as possible. Initially delaying Antivirus checking for updates by 3 - 5 minutes should do it. Is there a hidden option/configuration setting to do this (like in the INI file for Avast)? Many thanks.
