  1. Perhaps you're right, Cecelia. I can, and maybe should, ignore an email that comes from this company that doesn't make sense. Thanks for the contact info.
  2. So it took nearly two weeks of bouncing around before I got to someone who could cancel my subscription and give me my refund. Now I get an email that is welcoming me as a new user, acknowledging payment I didn't make or authorized, asking me to create an account (I still have the old one), and download/install the software. Why is that? Who do I email to resolve this situation? Back on Adaware AV Pro.pdf
  3. Thanks for redirecting my question to this thread Cecilia. (For other viewers, I was looking for a fix for Windows 7 File Explorer that runs very slow after installing Adaware Pro) While an older computer, it is still fast with an SSD, 64-bit, 2.3 GHz Quad core AMD system with 6 GB RAM. The rest of my software runs fine and Explorer was very fast prior to running Adaware. As I just upgraded to Pro, I'll contact support as you suggest,
  4. Thanks for the reply Cecillia. I'll take your first suggestion and contact Adaware support. While I'm a newbie to this forum, I'm good at computers and software in general. I suspect the issue is with the Firewall feature. Before using the free version before with a top-rated, free firewall and was able to use Ookla. My troubles began when I upgraded to pro. According to your response to my Windows Explorer issue, I see that other windows 7 users with older systems are having trouble as well. I may have wasted my money, but I'll take the issue up with support.
  5. Running Windows 7 on a 2.3 GHz Quad Core AMD with 6 GB RAM. Using AV Pro v12. I use Ookla Speed Test from time to time and can no longer access a test server. When I disable AV it works. Why is this happening and how can this be fixed?
  6. Running Windows 7 on a 2.3 GHz Quad core AMD system with 6 GB RAM. Since installing AV Pro, Windows Explorer takes forever to display the contents of a folder (clocked a folder with 500 images at 3 minutes!). The green activity bar crawls along at a snail's pace. When I shut off AV response time goes back to normal. Please help. Thanks.
