  1. I'm using (for years) Adaware Adwatch but actually only once a week... Why I don't allow to start Adwatch at startup ? When I do so It takes between 2 to 3 minutes more to be able to use the computer. When click the Adaware icon (the open the software) it takes about 2 minutes before the Adaware-screen is loaded and can be used... When I click to update...It's busy for about 5 to 6 minutes... A slim scan: 8 minutes... Windows XP home, NIS 2010, Spybot (not active). PS I already tried to desactivate NIS...without results. I suppose there is no solution to fix this problem.
  2. Even when Ad-Aware/Adwatch is not starting together with Windows my computer take a lot more time to get ready. But that was already the case before...reason why I only used Ad-Aware once a week. I have also installed on my PC differend Norton products (NIS NSW Ghost).
  3. I'm running Outlook Express and don't use Microsoft OUTLOOK. Suddenly, in Outlook Express I tried to open an email and I receive a message that Microsoft Outlook !!! is not properly installed and can not be opened. I had again to reboot my computer to open Outlook Express...
  4. Since I installed the AE version it seems that I have problems with IE 7. When I open one (or two) supplementary screens in IE, it happens frequently that other applications, located in the taskbar, can be opend but it's not possible to use them. Not one of the screens can be "minimized". Opening the Windows tasts (using ctr+alt+del) no problem...all applications are indicated "activated", but all the different screens stays "blocked" and can not be removed. It's not possible to close/shutdown XP by the normal way: start etc. I have to use the resset button to reboot... Solution: close AE and the problem seems to be resolved. Normal ??
  5. Is it posible to install Adaware Plus 2008 and since yesterday the Ad-aware AE version also and using the same data (serialnumber etc.) on my second computer ?
  6. Raziel, thanks. I found the planner and deleted the scans that where mentionned here (Webscan and slimscan). Probably this wil stop the running during about 35 minutes. Maybe one of the scans could still be stay executed, but not knowing the time to fix a scan I deleted all of them.
  7. I can understand that aaw...is vital for the application but: Why does it take about 35' to run ? Why isn't it possible to determine when this application should run.
  8. Was been looking for the following problem about a lot of months... Have installed Adaware/Adwatch 2008 Plus (7.1.0.11). Everyday between 12.07 and 12.45 "something" starts running automatically on my computer. Surfing became slow and other application didn't work normally. Yesterday I discovered that "aawservice.exe" was creating this problem. When setting this "service" on manuel there is no more specific running and no more slow down. Is this a known problem ? If yes, how to fiw this, because I suppose that to be safe, aawservice should be active.
  9. I have installed Norton Internet Security 2006. And yes, if I shut down the firewall before executing update (webupdate) the updates are (I think so, because the "Last Update date is not adapted everytime) executed. So, I don't think that it is normal that I have to shut down the firewall. It seems that I cannot use the scheduler to start an auto-update, because if I program the schedule for example at 18.00...my computer restards everytime when the scheduler is starting the update (without updating...)
  10. I was making a schedule task to look for updates each day at 19.30. Every day at that time my computer is restarting... Is this normal ? Or is this one more problem...
  11. In an other part of the forum I was putting the same question. Because Support didn't answer most of the time, I try it this way. Am I the one and only one member having this problem (see attachment Appendix A): It still not possible to execute “Webupdate†without eliminating temporary my Norton firewall If not eliminated I receive this error message: In my opinion the program file in Norton Security is set as it should be to allow all Adaware transactions. Those three are indicated as†access allowed†in my firewall programs: Lavasoft Adaware LavaSoft Updatemanager (= lsupdatemanager.exe) Adaware2007 ( Ad-Aware2007.exe ) So, I closed my Norton firewall and at two times I got a so called "update". I can see that the update bar is advancing but I don't know if Adware is really updated... Why ? Because the "Last Update date" is not changing and stays at 05/07/2007, same time: Is this also normal ? Or has this date to change if an update was executed ? I have the impression that the new Ad-2007 is not really working as it should be...I didn't had those troubles with my Adaware SE Plus... While I'm writing this I tried again to start "Update" (in the meantime Norton firewall is again ON) and now I get again the same error screen but this time with a "message"... and this will not disappear till I close AD-2007... So...please wait...I'm still waiting, nothing is happening... Another problem...can support, please, have a look at this or pay me back my subscription. Thanks.
  12. "Enable email notification of replies?" I say yes...but are never informed when someone is replying. What am I doing wrong ? Settings ?
