  1. I downloaded the file and ran DelFix, but Ad-Aware didn't react.


    From the thread it's not 100% clear that Ad-Aware reacted on DelFix. Could they check the quarantined files to see if the DelFix file is mentioned?

    • Scan Computer -> View Quarantined files
    • Real Time Protection -> Detection history section -> View Details

    Alternatively, they can upload the detection log files and I can check it myself:

    • C:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 11\History\RealTimeProtectionHistory.db
    • C:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 11\History\Scanner.db

    Thanks for your report. The file at the download location is not detected. It may already have been removed from detection, or the file at the URL you provided is different from the one detetcted.

    I spoke to our QA team who had this to say:



    The problem happens due to httproxy.dll, which is blocking the site. This a known issue but we do not have an ETA for a fix.

    To fix blocking:

    1. Stop Ad-Aware service.
    2. Go to c:\Windows\System32\.
    3. Find httproxy.dll file and rename it.
    4. Restart service.

    We don't advise this since Web Protection will be unavailable after dll renaming, but it will allow the site to function correctly.
