1. Make it so that the user can disable just the antivirus engine as is the case in the current stable version, for those who already have antivirus software and still want to use the other protection functions in Ad-Aware, such as adware, spyware, keyloggers, tracking cookies, etc. I suggest this because multiple antivirus programs conflict.
2. I have Windows 7 SP1 with all the latest updates with McAfee as my security software. I was able to install the beta of Ad-Aware 10. When I ran a scan with Ad-Aware 10 beta, though, it caused my system to constantly lock up. After nothing else worked, I eventually had to do a system restore to remove the beta software. (My computer kept freezing, and so I couldn't really run the uninstaller for Ad-Aware 10 beta, so I had to revert my system back to a point in time before I installed the program.) Has anyone else had this problem, either on Windows 7 or any other version of Windows?
3.
Hi tom kieffer, Yes, the new version 9.5 has just been released and I hope I will get some information about it soon. There were also some issues with the updating servers due to the release and maybe that led to that your program wasn't updated. Do you still have issues updating to the new version?
I'm having an issue, too. My problem is that version 9.5 installs fine, but then the updater opens and after the updating is completed, I click the "About" button on the bottom of the main Ad-Aware window and it has somehow reverted to 9.0.7! What's up with that?
4. Every time I try to install the beta of Ad-Aware, I get a fatal error. I'll attach a screenshot to show you what I mean.
5. I tried to reset my password to try out the Ad-Aware beta, it says that "An e-mail with your new password has been sent to and will arrive shortly in your inbox." It never arrives. I tried completely disabling my spam filters in AOL, but to no avail. How do I fix this?
6. I open Ad-Aware 2007 Beta Seven. It goes into WebUpdate. It finds updates. I try to download them and I get an error message saying that the server is busy and it tells me to please try again in a few minutes. Well, I tried this countless times and I still get the same error message. I'll post a screenshot to try to clarify my problem.
