  3. Hello, I recently found a bunch of spyware and a keylogger installed on my pc...i think i got rid of it all but every once in awhile i still see "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime errors C:/Windows/Explorer.EXE" and my desktop will refresh when i click on icons. Can you tell me if i still have the infection? Or what these errors are from? Thanks! 7. Hello, I recently found a Keylogger and a few spyware programs installed on my PC after running ad-aware. I removed them but my computer is still acting funny, and now I am getting "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime errors C:/Windows/Explorer.EXE" and my desktop will refresh when i click on icons. I have ran Ad-Aware, spybot, clean up, and AVG. I can send you whatever you need. Any chance one of you guys can take a look and help me out? Thanks, Chris
  8. Files hidden..windows update on...and I have all those spyware programs installed now... Thanks again Charles, it's really appreciated. Have a great weekend!!!
  9. oh...and I just restarted windows defender...almost forgot about that...thanks again!
  10. Hey Charles, I logged back in as administrator in safe mode and deleted that file in the recycle bin, cause it wasn't in the recycle bin on my desktop..I do not have any more spyware related issues...but then again i didn't notice any problems until I checked using ad-aware and the other programs... I think I'm all good now though.. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH..you do not even understand how hard I tried to get rid of all that junk...I really appreciate all the time and effort you have taken to help me out. Where can I donate???? Send me a link please!
  11. Hey Charles, Its hard to tell if I got rid of those 2 or not, i deleted both of those files...when i boot into safe mode i can access either my user account or administrator account, i was the only user account a few months ago. I also seen a "system 32" folder in the c:\windows directory with some 3com files included in it, and even after "Show hidden files and folders". Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option." I still see alot of greyed out folders i cannot access like system volume information and RECYCLER. I ran another ad-aware scan and a Panda scan, they are below....Hope u can help...its looking alot better anyways Ad-Aware SE Build 1.06r1 Logfile Created on:Friday, January 26, 2007 5:29:57 PM Created with Ad-Aware SE Personal, free for private use. 14. Hi Charles, When I rebooted into safemode there was an administrator account as well as my account to log into. I used the administrator profile to run the sdfix, hope that was the right way to do it. I have it setup so that my account was "supposed" to be the administrator. Looks like the sdfix caught a com+ trojan. Any idea of the security threat this would cause on my pc? Thanks again, here are the logs you requested: SDFIX SDFix: Version 1.62 Thu 01/25/2007 - 12:09:39.42 Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] Running From: C:\SDFix Safe Mode: Checking Services: Name: COM+ Messages Path: "C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchosts.exe" -e mc-110-12-0001291 COM+ Messages Deleted Restoring Windows Registry Entries Restoring Default Hosts File Rebooting...
