    Can you remember what critical item you removed? (so other don't remove the same thing...)

    This issue have been addressed in detail in other threads on this forum, but try to disable your firewall prior to update. Another way is to white list /allow download.lavasoft.com in the firewall. //Anders.

    It may sound lame, but try to uninstall and then re-install the program. Some older builds had problems which has been taken care of
