3.
Does the program update when you select the Update menu item of Ad-Aware in the Start menu? Have the updates worked before? Have you checked if an uninstallation and installation of Ad-Aware solves the problem? Do you have a firewall that stops Ad-Aware from downloading updates automatically?
Strange today when I logged on - it was doing the update - as we all know computers - perhaps working now - will keep in contact - thanks for your help - any specific days that it updates!!!!
  4.
Hi Ginnie, I am not sure that I understand what you want to know. The free version of Ad-Aware should update automatically twice a week.
It is not doing that - this time when I ran it said had not been updated since 7/24 - have options to do auto updates- does this problem have anything to do with the live option Thanks
  5. Everytime I log on to Ad-Aware - to do a scan - says need to update - have options set to automatic - today it said 121 updates = thanks for any help

    Ad-Aware 8.2.2
Might want to check McAfee to see if it quarantined/deleted any Ad-Aware files: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=29132 Also, if you have both McAfee and Ad-Aware running resident, real-time protection, try disabling one or the other. I don't have McAfee, but in Ad-Aware go to advanced mode Ad-Watch settings and turn off the Processes module. This will make Ad-Aware an on-demand scanner the next time you reboot.
Thanks checked - Processess if "off" - cannot find link to download another "free copy" thanks again

    Ad-Aware 8.2.2
Which version? (click the "About" button in the bottom-right corner of Ad-Aware). The last version of AE was 8.0.8 and the latest definitions are 0149.0210. When you say it takes 10 minutes to load, you mean when you boot your computer, or to open the GUI to scan? As long as there has been no updates to the software, I'm not sure it's Ad-Aware itself. I use version 8.0.3 and haven't had any problems with the definition files which I update manually (download and replace the file, not using Web Update). It could be an update to another security program which suddenly makes it harder for Ad-Aware to execute. Did you make any changes to your system around the time this started happening?
My version say 8.2.2 - could not locate update versions - thanks for any help!!!!
  12. Have latest updates to Ad-Aware AE - for the past several weeks it has taken over 10 minutes to load - not quite sure what the problem or solution is - Thanks for any help!!!!
  13. Just curious as to how long this product and updates will be available. Thanks for any reply.
