    I'm, also, having the same exact problem... Last week the update worked normally, so I, also, believe the problem is at the server's (Lavasoft's) end.

    The connection problem is one of the problems I'm having w/Adaware 2007 (free). I'm not able to do any type of scans... Where did you find the old version (SE personal)? LeftyKimo

    Am, also, having this problem; keep getting "website's server is busy". Unable to do either a 'Smart' scan or 'Full' system scan are other problems; getting error codes 5001 & 5002, respectively. Also, windows sez: unable to do the scan; scanner is busy. Currently, have Adaware 2007 (free); Windows XP (OS).
