  1. Yes Spike it does. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and respond to it.
  2. I updated definitions, nothing new. Ran a Full scan. There were minor tracking cookies and 1 mru. I check marked them, clicked on remove and they were deleted but there is nothing in the quarantine section.
  3. I have quarantine before removal checked, but nothing is ever quarantined before it is removed. I was doing a smart scan. XP SP2 Home Edition
  4. I never thought of doing that. With the update the icon is gone but aawservice is still loading (starting automatically.) Since the free version does not have the ability to do scheduled scans, is it okay to disable this service?
  5. Okay that didn't work either. I'm off to try msconfig Okay that didn't work either. Now I'm getting frustrated! There must be a registry hack we can use to exorcise this stupid thing!
  6. I want it out of my tray too. I changed the AAWTray.exe to AAWtray.exe.disabled and used Winpatrol to remove it. I'm going to try another restart and see what happens.
  7. Hi Raziel v. Nosgoth Display update status did the trick. Is realtime protection only available in the paid version? Is there a way to get rid of the red x warning? Hi Coolmaster, Where did you put 19? Thanks
  8. Hi, I have received updates since this post. If there are no updates available, nothing happens when I click the update option. It does not have a message about no new updates available, it just does nothing. Is that the way it's supposed to be?
  9. Yesterday I got the error ssl download failed. This was after installing new components for update manager. Today I click on update, I get the window getting information for definitions (something like that) and then nothing happens. No updates are downloaded, and I don't get a window saying I have the most recent updates. Does the download manager need to be installed? Is it the only way to get updates? Yesterday I let it install updates for the download manager. After that I got the SSL error. Alith
