  1. On Lavasoft Ad-Aware version: 8.0.3 Full scan still send these items (with ThreatWork) to .... Direct scan on evert item still found nothing !!! What next ???
  2. version: 8.0.3 update on the issue: In the new version the tool claims that NO items are Skipped: Type Detected ========================== Processes.......: 0 Registry entries: 0 Hostfile entries: 0 Files...........: 0 Folders.........: 0 LSPs............: 0 Cookies.........: 0 rowser hijacks.: 0 MRU objects.....: 0 But the threatwork still send the 13 elements found in the previous version !!! Well.... Not showing me the "Skipped items" that were found in the previous tool version but still sending them Doe's NOT solve this issue !!!
  3. Still waiting... Not even one of the 13 elements in the "Skipped items" list has change its status more then a month. Doesn't seem reasonable to me... Am I the only one ??? Boaz.
  4. My "Skipped items" list didn't change from the first time I used the tool till today. Every time I run the tool I send the "Skipped items" to be verified with the Treat Work submission tool. I was expecting that some of the elements in the list will change their status from "Skipped items" to "OK" or "NOT OK" but not even one change. Way ??? Skipped items: Description: C:\WINDOWS\catchme.exe Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\Housecall_ActiveX.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\erdnt\subs\ERDNT.EXE Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ALZALZ.BIN Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ALZZip.BIN Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\avisynth.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cdeject.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\CmdLineExt03.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DivX.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\RGSS100J.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\RGSS102E.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\RGSS102J.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0 Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\swreg.exe Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0
  5. I would like to trust LavaSoft that AD-AWARE check all needed object. Boaz
  6. O.K. I will retest it in the coming version ( 8.0.3 ?? ). Thank You.
  7. Sorry ... but ... My topic is related to "How long should a scan take ?" . I believe that you should simply open a new topic with your issue. Boaz
  8. And what will the fix do in this case (for example). Will the catchme.exe right-click test find it as a "Suspicious Object" ??? or what ??? Boaz
  9. Great... Included both Full report with the catchme.exe element And catchme.exe scan "right clicking on the file" report (Same result for all other Skipped items). Waiting. Ad_Aware_catchme_exe.txt Ad_Aware_log_03_02_2009_Full.txt
  10. I did scan Catchme.exec with some other tools... It's OK. I'm still waiting for Ad-Aware to update their database and respond for that item. But... That's in not the point of the topic. The problem is that two Ad-Aware tool elements ("Full/Smart scan" vs "right-click on file immediate Ad-Aware scan") give two different results for the same object. That is the relation for your respond in my other forum topic. You say that you never get suspicious objects....in that case you indeed can not verify my point. Boaz
  11. No need to compare AA-AE and AA-2008 while even on the same tool I found a problem. see: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=23385 You are welcome to try the test I suggested there and put you input on "Suspicious Object" or "no malicious" topic. Boaz
  12. Due to no responds... ================= Could anyone run a test for me... as I did... Run a scan ... select one element that was found as "Suspicious Object" (being "Skipped once" and sent to check by ThreatWork). Run a scan directly on one of the element that found above: Right click on the Suspicious Object and select "scan with ad-aware". And tell me the result... (In my case it was claim that it is "no malicious objects"). Waiting.
  13. That is not my issue... If it's an infection (or suspected as one) as claimed by the Ad-Aware AE full-scan then how Come the second test (running the scan directly on the file. see attached picture ) claim that it is "no malicious objects". All I care for is that the two tests options will give the same result. Boaz
