  3. Can somebody please give some advice, the problem is getting worser and worser. I think something is blokking all kinds of actions, some programs can't be removed...downloads from almost everywhere are denied etc. It looks like a serious virus infection.
  4. For a number of days now i have problems receiving downloads from different sites. IE simply denies access to download, even overruling that isn't working. Even a game that i played for over a year gives problems now, it wants to place a file in the "temporary internet files" directory but it's not permitted by IE. Downloads from Microsoft update and my Virusprogram for example gives no problem at all, but installing "shockwave" from macromedia/adobe won't work. I have tried the following steps: Turning off the firewall and restart............no solution, checking all IE options with another PC i have to see if they differ......nothing found, there are no sites mentioned that aren't allowed and so on. Did run Ad-aware-se SE 1.06R1 with definitions SE1R131.....problem still exists. Now i'm out of options.........anybody has any solution to this problem? I would be very grateful. Droopy problems seems to get worse, even Outlook is doing strange, gif attachsments can only be safed as nameless bmp file and more and more sites are giving problems. I'm seriously thinking the whole system is infected with something, help...... please
  5. After downloading and installing VideosCodec 9.0 my PC is infected whit a virus i think. When starting IE i get a page of "theupdatesafety.net" and a pop-up warning for the virus [email protected], all fake i think. Did run Hitmanpro 2.5.2.2. and ad-aware se 1.06r1 with the latest definition file, both didn't solve the problem. 7. Thanks CalamityJane the Smitfraudfix from Post #46 worked for me too, only i still have some strange files: Directory: C:\Documents and Settings\Jan\Local settings\Temp\ Files: Perflib_Perfdata_484.dat, Perflib_Perfdata_db0.dat, Perflib_Perfdata_dcc.dat Directory: is-AUHU7.tmp (empty) and _ZCTmp.dir with the file _ZC000.tmp in it.
