2.
Hi, I cannot receive any help recently. My license expires on 2013-3-3. I asked many questions from Contact Support but didn't get any reply. I am wondering if there is something wrong. Maybe get infected when submitting questions. Could somebody help me? I am sure I had logged in when I submit a question. I don't know if I should ask here through forum or by Contact Support. Thanks. 4.
A program I have been using for years has twice in the past three weeks been found and removed by AdAware as a trojan. Prior to 3-11-2010 AdAware had no problem with it. To date neither Spybot Search and Destroy nor Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware has no problem with it. In web searches I can find no reference to this program being considered or suspected of being a trojan. I also use this program at the office and none of our security programs have found any fault with the program. With this in mind I am questioning AdAware's recent findings. The program name is Alarm. It is a basic desktop timer/alarm clock that has a popup notification and audio alarm at a time selected by the user. It has an easy to use interface that takes seconds to use, unlike the timer in Outlook. I am attaching the most recent scan log as well as the program file Alarm.zip. I will discontinue using this program if it is truly infected, but at this point I am doubtful for the reasons listed above. Thanks. SM
Thank you for reporting this. 5.
Several days ago my free version of AdAware started marking CDLogic_ret.exe in the folder C:\hp\recovery\wizard\fscommand as Win32.TrojanSpy.Agent. According to some posts on an HP forum other malware detectors recently started reacting to this file and others in the same folder. HP is sure it is a false positive. I've upload the AdAware log and a zipped version of CDLogic_ret.exe. Sadly i don't have any compression utility other than the built-in Windows function, so i cannot put a password on it. I also use Avast, Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, and Spybot Search & Destroy. They all come up negative on this file.
Thank you for reporting this. 7.
Adaware 8.1 claims to have found a trojan called "win32.trojandropper.delf" in "super.exe" from eightrightsoft and deleted it. Can you confirm that Super, a multi video converter is a trojan or has it been confused with "fran-super.exe" please? Log file is attached. Super (currently build 37) can be found here: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html The quarantined file is attached in a zip file. Thanks in advance, Cubit54
Hi Thanks for reporting this issue! Malware Labs will investigate this further. Göran Lavasoft Support
 8. This could also be caused by remains of previous installations not being properly removed from your computer. So if the malware analysis comes out clean then I suggest you download and install Revo Uninstaller and then use it in 'Advanced Mode' to uninstall all versions of Ad-Aware from your computer and then reboot and reinstall Ad-Aware AE and update. Revo Download link
 9. If you update using the Administrator account it will be updated for all accounts. I suggest you uninstall Ad-Aware AE from the Control Panel and make sure no traces of old installations are left on your computer then reboot and reinstall Ad-Aware AE using your Admin account. Any difference or are you experiencing the same issue? Kind regards, Göran - Lavasoft Support
 10. Are you using Ad-Aware AE version 8.0.5? What update method are you using(Start menu or Webupdate within the software)? When updating as a non-administrator you need to use the Webupdate feature within Ad-Aware to update since the Start menu update will only work for administrators Kind regards, Göran - Lavasoft Support
