  1. Macmiller you can still download AAW SE 1.06r1 from http://www.filehippo.com/download_ad-aware/2466/ - you would need to manually download Defs updates in zip format from here and unzip the new defs.ref to replace the existing one (from memory the default path is C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE).
  2. I know that as well, I was part of the beta testing aaw2007, but at that stage I was only running vista 32bit. I have a funny feeling that the devs will bring it out when SP1 is released for vista as it has lowered some of the security settings a tiny bit.
  3. Spike, I do hope you can understand why people are getting a bit peed off at the moment...Vista 64bit has been out since NOVEMBER 2006. its now nearly MARCH 2008 and still nothing for 64bit vista not even a beta that we can test or anything. and also every time when some1 asks for Vista 64bit support we get the same answer that its "under development", then to top it all off the version that did work okay with vista 64bit (adware SE) has been stopped. dont see a logic there and it has stopped me from buying nor recommending the software to friends nor colleagues.
  4. Jane, When is the rough idea to release AAW2007 for 64bit? As its been now what a year that Vista 64 has been out....is there even a beta for it yet? I was part of the aaw2007 beta testers but then I only tested it on 32bit at that time. Cheers.
  5. let me guess you are running a 64bit version of Vista? as this is a known issue and afaik lavasoft havent made AAW2007 compatible with 64bit vista :S
  6. funny thing there is that they also "forgot" to add Vista 64bit to the list of supported os
  7. is there any1 with an answer to this? or would I have to leave lavasoft for say spybot S&D
  8. Hello, Now that Lavasoft is going to make Ad-aware SE obsolete are there any updates yet for Ad-aware 2007 which will work with 64 bit version of Windows Vista? As at the moment the only version I can run is the SE edition. Cheers. ps: Happy new year to all
  9. Afternoon all, got a slight issue with Adaware 2007 Free edition. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit edition. The problem that I'm having with Adaware 2007 is that it in some ways hangs whilst trying to do a scan. it hangs whilst "preparing GUID scanning" I've added the message here, but I can leave my computer running for say 4 hrs and it will still sit there. Is there anything that I can do about this other then not using Vista 64bit as I was part of the BETA for this and it worked fine on Vista 32bit. Thanks, ow specs of pc if needed: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 4x 1gb ###### ddr2 pc6400 2x 500gb WD SataII drives. Vista Ultimate 64bit os.
