  1. I know it's free but until the powers that be decide if they are going to address the issue of aawservice or not, set it to start manually and after updating or running a scan 'end-process' it via Task Manager. Have been doing that since I installed the new version and saw this service running. Absolutely no adverse effects on my system by doing this. But it is a ___ nuisance to keep having to do it.
  2. Thanks for the reply, looked at your attachment. Same as I already have it set.
  3. Thank you for your quick reply SpySentinel I will keep a note of the url for this thread and resurect it when appropriate.
  4. Just downloaded Ad-aware 2007Free. Will there be any guide posted as how to configure scanning engine to get the best level of scanning as there was for Ad-AwareSE? Really like the new look and it's not too hard to figure out. Keep up the good work. Running on XP-Pro sp2. Cheers
  5. Something wrong here, I only posted this once and it now shows up three times!
  6. I updated via the program's updater after trying 5 times and on the sixth attempt it downloaded a beta file: SE 1B151 BETA. I deleted this file and downloaded from manual download location and correct file now displayed. Go figure?
  7. I have just downloaded tonight's new definition file via program's updater. It has downloaded a BETA file definitions file: SE1B151 BETA. Is this correct? Gandalf
