  1. Thanks for that. After 6 hours (phew!) the scan finished and detected no malware. I'll try what you suggested when I can summon up the stamina to do a full scan again lol
  2. I have the same problem!! I'm up to 5 and a half hours now and still scanning. I'm not using the computer, using laptop instead until it's finished lol. I don't think I'll be doing a full scan again in a hurry!!
  3. Hi I had this problem last night but after it said download complete and then the error message came up I closed Ad-Aware down and then opened it again and then under status the definition had been updated and with the correct date. Have you tried this? Di
  4. I have found now that the problem seems to have resolved itself. No problems with laptop with 'Vista' but with pc with windows XP got message that the update had been downloaded and message 'SSL download failed' so wasn't sure which message was right. So I closed Ad-Aware and reopened and new definition file had been updated. So all OK for now!!!!
  5. I'm having the same problem. Everything was fine until today when I tried to update latest definitions file. I think it must be at the Lavasoft end!
  6. Hi, I'm having the same problem. Everything was ok until I tried to download the latest definition. I get 'SSL Download failed'. I have tried manually and from Web update and get the same message. I have tried the link suggested by SpySentinel but can't connect to the link. I am using Ad-Ware free Edition with a pc with Windows XP Home and a laptop with Windows Vista with the same results. Help! It is very frustrating!
  7. Hi Spike So far so good. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks a lot. Sorry it doesn't work for you Eldan. Cobber
  8. Hi Spike, I have gone to tracksweep and all my options are already deselected. There also seems to be no 'Save' button only clean.
  9. Hi, I have the same problem. There was no problem with Ad-Aware SE but when I upgraded to Ad Aware 2007 it deleted my usernames and passwords. I put in as many as I could remember and scanned again and then ticked ignore. It worked for some but I've noticed that it has deleted some again. Also it's no easy to identify which cookies are the ones you want to keep from the list. I find it very frustrating. Can anyone help?
