  1. It would be interesting to know why it remains, even though it seems to sit there doing nothing. With all due respect that gives your valid question above a rather childish slant. How many people have you spoken to to be able to say "Most of us"? How many do you know who have uninstalled Ad-Aware?
  2. I can't help with an answer. All I can do is fully concur with what you say. Also it intrudes far too much on boot up, taking a good 10 to 15 minutes to do what it has to do and it's only started doing it recently. I've now disabled Ad-Watch completely and my PC runs far more smoothly in every respect. I still use SpySweeper and SpyBot and Adaware are both run at least twice a week.
