1.
You might try updating to 8.2.2 - there was no mention of a fix for the ignore list, but I don't think they list all the changes made. Instructions for uploading false positives: zip the files into a password-protected archive, using the word "infected" as the password.
Upgraded and rescanned made no different so reported it in the false positive place.
 2. i've been with e-trends for years and had the module on my White list all went ok till the newest version of Ad-Aware 8.NN, then it started being flaged been adding it to the White List and that made no different I upgraded to version 8.2.2 hoping it might work still no dice. E-Trends sent me a email that they are merging with Opinion Square and Down Load the Module from there, and uninstall the one from e-trends; which I did. Attaching the latest two logs. Attaching a zipped copy of the module.
 3.
What version of Ad-Aware? There has been a problem with 8.2's ignore list not working - 8.2.1 improved the whitelisting of Ad-Watch files and processes protection, but I think that's different than items picked up during scans. You can report false positives here: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showforum=93 Before posting, read these instructions: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=18033
I'm confused about what is meant by 'password infected'. "3. If you have access to the detected file, upload it as described above, however, please be sure to zip your file first and use the password infected since the forum will not accept the upload of .exe files or renamed .exe files. "

 5. Items put in ignore list: Description: c:\program files\opinionsquare\opnsqr.exe Family Name: Win32.Adware.Relevant/A Rescanned and picked up the same file. Items put in ignore list: Description: c:\program files\opinionsquare\opnsqr.exe Family Name: Win32.Adware.Relevant/A What am I doing wrong?
 6.
Hi, I think it would be best to try and post about this being a False Positive again. http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=18033 Casey
Thanks I will!
 7. although I have defined that as a exception sometimes says win32.adware.relevant/a sometimes win32.adware.relevant but they are both part of etrends.exe, what can I do a while ago, 6-8 months I submitted the module as a legit program but that seamed to have made it worst.
 8.
OK, well I'm glad it's worked for you! Let us know if your schedule works. Casey
Yep, the scheduler worked. thanks for the help!
 9.
Your scheduler says midnight on a Thursday... not midnight on a Friday... is that what you meant? or has it, in fact, reverted? Casey
Yes, I changed from Friday to Thursday as I noramlly run the spyware scans Friday night and all day Saturday. 1) Ad-Aware 2) Malwarebyte's anti-malware 3) Spybot - Search and Destroy 4) Super antispyware update each one first.
 10.
I don't think changing the task scheduler works. Next time you reboot, Ad-Aware will change it back to the default.
Well just rebooted and the task scheduler retained it's changed value so atleast on my system it seams to have worked I'll find out for sure next week. Thanks again! Attached is a screen shot!
 11.
Auto-update option is for all versions. Not sure why you only have weekly, the screenshot was from another free user. You can still update on-demand by right-clicking the tray icon, clicking Web Update on the GUI, or through the start menu. These will update both the software and definitions. The link above using core.zip is for definitions only.
Got update manger running VIA the start menu; also changed the task scheduler to run Friday night at mid-night. Thanks again!
 12. Nope pretty much always on, but checked the scheduled tasked and all I see is a weekly task. I checked the setting update under ad-aware and that's set for automatic is that option only good for the paid version now. On the older versions I could dl updates on demand can I still do that?
 13.
It's beyond me, but I wonder if somehow the file "ShellExt.dll" is corrupt (but only sometimes, LOL). The .dll file is located in 2 places: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\Update C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware
Well this week it's latest update is 1/19/2010 0149.0130, maybe the free version does not update more then once a week?
 14. from the last log ERR [2896] 2010/01/17 14:34:03: Could not load shell extension ERR [2896] 2010/01/17 14:34:45: ServiceController::LaunchSoftwareUpdate -> Failed to launch software update I'll check that other post! 15. Some reason my version of Ad-Aware 8.1.3 has not updated it's definition file since 1-12-2010, so I've downloaded the current core.zip; but can not find the instructions as to how to install it. Where is the information? Any Idea as to why every once in a while Ad-Aware is not updating itself (does most days)? When I first installed version 8.1 I had trouble with it's service and I had to manually define the service to 'xp pro'. Like I said most definition updates do download & install, but about once a month clicking the 'WEB UPDATE' does nothing.
