1. Hi, How am I supposed to log into the "support centre"? I don't believe I have any login details for that. Regds James
Hi, To transfer your license: http://lavasoft.com/mylavasoft/support/blo...-a-new-computer Your hardware fingerprint is unique to each individual PC and is designed to prevent people using one license on multiple computers. *************************** Support: A lot of companies use 3rd parties to handle the purchasing of their software - I guess it must save them money somehow. To contact the support team you must log into the support center (which you will be shown how to in the above link) - once logged in you will be able to email or live chat with the support team. 2. I bought a copy of Adaware Plus a few months ago for my old pc, which has now died. Now that I have a new pc, I expected I could just download the new copy and type in my account registration number. But the software is giving me the following message: [to transfer your license to a new PC please contact our support team through the Lavasoft Support Center here (click). Please include the hardware fingerprint and your license information, which can be found in the 'Manage License' screen.] What the hell is a hardware fingerprint? Who do I speak to about this problem? Surely this happens often enough, so what's the solution? ***************************** On a different note, I want to explain that my experience of the Lavasoft 'support' so far has been terrible!!! Even registering the software in the first place was a complicated process, bouncing between Adaware's site, the installer, Paypal and the 'Cleverbridge' site (who the hell is Cleverbridge?! Why can't Lavasoft just process the payments for registration on its own site?). Now that I am a registered member, however, there seems to be no way for me to email the support team directly. My registration number isn't being recognised, and it simply refers me to the 'support centre' page. Clicking on 'contact' doesn't provide you with a phone number or an email, just links to this forum, for which you have to register, and read nearly *1000 words of rules* before posting. I still have no idea who'll be answering my query. Hopefully they work for Lavasoft. Anyway, where's the email: [email protected] guys?
