Did you run chkdsk to look for hard drive errors? Or if the problem is resolved, let me know and I'll close this topic
I ran chkdsk, PC stalled. I availed the free registry scan, more than a thousand error found. I've asked around, mostly the suggestion is to reformat, and being not knowledgeable with fixing PC problem, I would take the easy way out. Thank you very much for your assistance. PS At startup a box keeps on popping stating " csrsc.exe not found" blah, blah, blahblahblah And oh, I successfully ran adaware 8.2.4, found and remove " installer.exe", what's this? Thanks again.

I Googled "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT" and found this: To explain, Windows uses hard drive space when RAM is not enough (a swap file). Data is transferred between hard drive and RAM, and if it fails, you get the PFN_LIST error (page file number). A few things you can check: 1. Is your hard drive nearly full? Click on "My Computer" to see free space vs. drive size. Windows needs some "breathing room" for things like the swap file. 2. Check the page file size: Right-click "My Computer" -> Properties -> Advanced tab -> Performance Settings -> Advanced tab -> Virtual Memory Change You should see the radio button "System managed size" checked, and below that the recommended size. If your hard drive free space is too low compared to the set page file size, it might cause the error. 3. Run Check Disk: Start -> Run -> type chkdsk and click OK This will check the hard drive for errors and bad sectors, in case the page file is trying to read/write on a bad sector of the hard drive.
Hard drive free space is 15.9 GB, set page file set is 2816MB. It must be a system problem indeed. Thank you for replying.
 3. Halfway thru the scan, pc crashed and a blue screen appeared stating PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. Advising to uninstall newly installed program, what to do? As my name suggests, please help should I remove Adaware 8.2.4?
