We need to verify your claims that the trojans originated from the Ad-Aware update. So, as I asked, how/where did you get the update? And do you still have the suspect file?
the down loads first came from the pop up when i opened ad-aware on my pc the second time after i re-installed xp came from both file hippo and c-net i did not install the down loads from c-net or filehippo as they looked exactly the same as the pop up down load that killed my pc
 2.
Did you update from the Ad-Aware GUI or download it from one of the Lavasoft mirrors? If the installer came from a legit mirror and is infected, I'm sure Lavasoft would like to know If they can't determine for sure or it's not a widespread problem indicating the source, I may need to drop the posts you've made saying Ad-Aware is malicious. In the meantime, I'll let Lavasoft know about this topic since they only know about the Turkish language problem, and they can keep an eye on the trojan thing.
Please do informe lava soft as i have been trying to do this since friday when the problem first occured i also would like to re-install ad-aware as i have been useing it for years and this is the first issue i have had. And as for these post being malisus NO they are not i would just like to stop other users form suffering the compleat break down of there pc as i had.
 3.
Are you sure the language was Azerbaijani? There's a known problem with Turkish: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?s...mp;#entry120883 As for the need to reinstall Windows, I'd guess that was the trojans fault rather than AVG or Ad-Aware.
Well when i put the words in to google translate they came up as azabijani alpha so i guess yes it is. and the trojans came down with ad-aware update
 4.
If I interpret your concern correctly in the IE menus at the top if you go to "Tools" the second item down is "Popup Blocker" you should enable it to prevent Popup's occurring. If this doesn't sort this out please list the exact steps that generates the problem.
downloading the new version of adaware sets this off. it only gets worse as more and more trojans and viruses aer released next your sound will dissappear then you will be unable to update any anti-virus then the blue screen of death with every restart
 5. Hi be glad that your mcaffie stoped the down load as avg did not and i got well and truly shafted the download when run was in azabijanie and released at least 10 trojans to the extent i had to reinstall xp
 6. Hi i keep downloading the 8.3 Ad-Aware update and it is in azabijani when i insaslled the update it compleatly shut down my pc to the extent that i have had to reinstall windows as the trojans knocked out both ad-aware and AVG please confirm that this is not your fault
