  3. Hello KSimmons, We are sorry to hear that you experienced problems with program updating. We would like to inform you that we released a major update which requires previous version uninstallation and system restarting in case program was installed with drivers. If you are using free version, you should first download installer from website and run it. It will detect Ad-Aware 11 version and uninstall it. If reboot is required, please restart your system and proceed with adaware 12 installation after that. You can also uninstall Ad-Aware 11 from Control Panel, restart computer and install new version by double clicking new installer and following prompts.   5. Hello schnee, We are sorry to hear that you experienced problems with new adaware program. Could you please tell if you are using free or paid version? Features, which could work with web traffic are included in paid versions only. They are Web Protection and Network Protection. If you are using free version, the only feature which may cause you problems is Real-Time Protection. As you mentioned that you are developer, I assume that you build your application locally, which has no digital signature and being checked by Real-Time Protection every time you build exe file. That is a normal behavior of any antivirus application. You can add your project folder to exclusion list to avoid any scanning by adaware program. Please see details here: https://www.adaware.com/user-guide/manage_exclusions https://www.adaware.com/user-guide/rtp If you confirm that you have paid version, I would like to ask you to turn off Web Protection and see if you still have problems. Please be advised to provide us with detailed steps to reproduce the experienced issue and follow the steps below to gather required information and help us to improve the program. We need logs to investigate any issues you may have so please upload the following information to the forum thread each time you encounter an issue. 1. Include Hidden files To see all files you have to select to show hidden files, see http://www.bleepingc...tutorial62.html for a description. Please, restore the setting when you're done with this instruction. 2. Ad-Aware folder Windows, 7, 8 and 10: Find the folder C:\ProgramData\adaware\adaware antivirus. Right-click the folder name and select Send to - Compressed folder. A new zip file, called Ad-Aware 12.zip, will be created. 3. Temp folder Windows 7, 8 and 10: Please, find the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp. Find the files starting with Msi, check the time stamp of the files to find one or several files created during the installation of Ad-Aware (usually seven files). Select all the found files, right-click them and select Send to - Compressed folder. A new zip file, called Msixxx.zip, will be created. 4. System Information Windows 8 and 10: Right-click on Start button (bottom left corner) and select Search. Search for: msinfo32 When it's listed (may appear as System Information), start that program. In the System Information window, please select Save in the File menu and save the file where you can find it, e.g. the desktop. Right-click the saved file and select Send to - Compressed folder. A new zip file will be created.   11. Hi vlpast, Thank you for problem description. We were able to reproduce a problem. WebSocket blocking is related to httproxy.dll, related to Web Protection feature. Please note, disabling Web Protection feature doesn't fix the issue and httproxy.dll renaming is required for correct working of WebSocket. Unfortunately, after dll renaming Web Protection feature will stop working and will have grayed out slider on the program GUI. Please follow the steps below to find and rename httproxy.dll: 1. Stop Ad-Aware service. You can do that from Control Panel (Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools\Services) or right click the Ad-Aware tray icon and click Stop Ad-Aware... option. 2. Go to C:\Windows\System32 3. Find httproxy.dll and rename it. 4. Start d-Aware service. You can do that from Control Panel (Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools\Services) or right click the Ad-Aware tray icon and click Start Ad-Aware... option. Please be advised to follow the steps above when you need correct working of WebSocket. httproxy.dll can be renamed back and after Ad-Aware service restarting Web Protection feature will start working properly again.   12. Thank you for your answer and details. There is no proxy on machines where we test, Ad-Aware doesn't work with proxy as well. I tried this problem on win 7 64, still the same. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce. I can propose you remote connection. We will connect to the system with a problem and try to investigate it. You will be able to see everything that we are doing. Also, could you please tell what product version do you have activated (Free, Personal, Pro, Total)? And what settings do you have? Did you change default settings for Network Protection or Web Protection? Regards

It seems that installer that you provided installs hidden agent and there is no program or any application that can be checked. How can we see that Ad-Aware blocks your program?
