Remove these with hijackthis: O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9D7EF71F-92F4-4E1E-93DE-E21436E4C815} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\khffefc.dll (file missing) O20 - Winlogon Notify: khffefc - khffefc.dll (file missing) O20 - Winlogon Notify: pmnll - C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnll.dll (file missing) How is your computer doing at this point?
  2. None of those are actualy missing, it's just a factor of how the program works (...incorrectly).
  3. Delete avenger from your desktop, redownload it, and try the steps again, taking careful note of what happens on each step. Open c:\avenger.txt with notepad. msxml4-KB927978-enu.log is just a log file for an old windows update.

Also, exactly what virus are you having trouble with? Where is it detected?
  12. Run a full scan with Ad-Aware SE, with updated defintions, with "Search for negligable risk threats" unchecked, and "Search for low risk threats" checked, then post the log. Then post a comboscan log.
