  2. I have just returned from holidays and when I went to run Ad-Aware Free on my desktop running Windows 10 an error message greeted me "Service unavailable!". I have made no attempts to rectify the problem. My system has been happily working for 5 years with the same programs installed (previously running Windows 7). What is the fix for this problem please.
  3. Ad-Aware 11.zipmsinfo32.zipmsixxxx.zip Please investigate and let me know how I can get Ad-Aware working again. Thanks, Traci

  5. Download Is Not Complete . Downloaded 99% Of Adaware_Installer.exe From This Address : http://lavasoft.com/download/adaware_download.php?inter=update&internal=true&src=free_install&src=free_install Pleas Help Me . Thank you
  6. I decided to update my Ad-Aware 10 w/ the new Ad-Aware 11. When I ran the downloaded installer package, it told me that before installing version 11, the previous version had to be uninstalled first. I accepted all of the notifications & proceeded to allow it to remove the old package. Once it was removed, it said that I needed to reboot to complete the uninstall process. That's exactly what I did. Now, every time I run the new installer, I continue to get the same message (attached) ... I have gone in and made sure that every old traces of the previous version were removed via the new Add/Remove Programs section. There is an entry in there for Ad-Aware 11 currently ...but if I try to remove that off my system, it launches the installer to the same dialog. Also, after my first initial reboot and receiving this message erroneously, I rebooted again. Additional reboots still result in this dialog, but after the first time, it no longer automatically launches on subsequent reboots. What needs to be adjusted to allow the installer to think that a pending reboot isn't continually required? ....or are there any switches that would allow me to have the installer bypass this check? I don't know if this matters, but I'm running Win 7 Professional x64 on a beefy development machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone!
  7. Hi I installed the toolbar when installing Ad-Aware 11 - I thought it would come in handy when something or other tries to install one of these D*mn browser search bars, ad-ware, etc. Anyway, my plan was just to hide the bar and forget about it until needed (I used it to scan once, nothing bad in any of my browsers). Tough luck. For my taste, this thing operates close to a D*mn adware ITSELF. There are not enough configuration options in the menu. Or can you tell me -How I can make the Ad-Aware Yahoo Search screen in new Tabs go away in the latest Firefox? I don't want to see it, and Yahoo search is dead. -Why there is no first setting up the stupid bar where you can just let the thing hidden WITHOUT it screwing up my preferred search engines etc.? (Yes, I know my way around my PC and have removed your silly search from the Browser's search engines - manually, thank you - but how do I get rid of the whole screen thing on a new tab?) -if the answer to my first question should be: "you can't make this new tab search screen go away": how do I completely UNINSTALL the D*mn thing? Thanks. oh, btw, I'm using the latest Win 8.1, the latest Firefox, Chrome and IE.
