1. Hi all! I am encountering an issue with Adaware. When running a full scan, Adaware detected a virus but seems to be unable to quarantine, delete, or otherwise handle it. I've tried running Adaware a few times, and other programs as well, but the threat remains. Please have a look at my report XML and advise on how to handle if you are able. adaware_Report_Full_Manual_11-23-2018 105901 AM.xml
2. Hi, Can you tell me where the installer files might be located? Whenever I go onto my browser I get an installer for Lavasoft Web Companion come up. I DO NOT WANT THIS PRODUCT. How do I delete this installer? I also have no clue where it came from and understand that you brand yourself as an antivirus...yet work a lot like a virus.
3. The malware currently on my pc keeps launching whatever browser i'm using - whether explorer or firefox. It launches so many windows that everything gets disabled. I ran a scan last eve and everything appeared to be OK for a few minutes, but the malware came back. I cannot use the pc. I tried sending a support claim a few moments ago, but the computer shut down. Can you help me? I'm ready to tear out my hair and/or throw this foolish machine out the window! Please and thank you FRST.txtAddition.txt

5. I have free Ad-Aware as an auxiliary backup to AVG free version. I am no longer able to open the Ad-Aware program. The warning message reads: Ad-Aware Antivirus\11.7.485.8398 - Windows cannot open this file because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy. I have checked and there is no software restriction policy in place. So I am assuming this is a malware or trojan infection. I deleted and reinstalled Ad-Aware, which ran a virus check after installation, which had no results. However, i still cannot open the software, even after re-installing, from my desktop icon or Programs list. I am running Windows XP on the affected pc. The software works fine on my other computers, one running Windows 10 and the other Windows XP.

9. I've been hijacked. What's worse is, I can't find the folder or path this hijacker is using in order to remove it! YOU can't even find it! I've run Adaware *and* Avast with no luck. I've looked in your data base and keep getting "No data found". I tried to find it in any and all of my Google Chrome settings - but it's too well hidden or it's attached itself to something else, making it impossible to find! Here's the info I've gotten from places around the web: Anvisoft says: 22find.com is a browser hijacker that spread via rootkit, Trojan, spam email attachments or infected websites visiting, targeting almost browser of all sorts, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. It will do a series of modifications to the browser configurations to make itself the default homepage. It also has the ability to hide itself from antivirus program by changing Windows registry settings. Once captures your system, you will notice not only your homepage, but also the new tab is set to open with 22find.com. The fact is search through this website is unsecured and may relate to redirection to malicious domains. The purpose of such browser hijackers is to transfer and record your browsing habits and similar things so as to force hits to particular websites, especially commercial advertisements. More serious, your credit card details and other confidential information revealed through this malicious domain might be compromised. In view of its malicious behavior, 22find.com should be removed from your PC as soon as possible, or it may harm your computer system and put your privacy and confidential data out on a limb. It goes on to give instructions for removal - none of which worked for me! It suggested going to my program files to remove it - but it's not showing up there. Then it says go to my browser settings to remove it and reset my pages - but it's not showing up there, either! I know it is on my computer because if I close out Google Chrome, when I reopen it, the 22 find page opens up instead of a Google page. It then goes on to suggest I download "Cloud System Boost". Honestly, I want to avoid downloading *more* unknown crap on my computer whenever possible. Since I've been using your product for years - I would rather hear from YOU what steps to take, rather than an unknown source. Please research this and HELP ME! Thanks.

13. Suddenly, when I'd go to a new tab in Firefox, I would get a page which was a search box from Blekko. I couldn't find anything called Blekko on my computer. Not ad-ons, extentions or programs. I spent many hours over several weeks trying to fnd a way to eliminate the Blekko search page from coming up when I clicked on New Tab. Finally, I found the Blekko web site. After several email exchanges with Blekko they told me to disable Ad-Aware Security Toolbar in my Firefox extensions. That did it. Ad-Aware had downloaded malware during an update that hacked my computer and changed my New Tab to a Blekko page without my knowledge. And they had the nerve to call it Ad-Aware Security Toolbar. Shame on you Lavasoft, providing malware protection software that itself loads malware on computers. After several years of using Ad-Aware, I'm uninstalling it forever. If anyone from Lavasoft reads this, please forward it to the one responsible for making a deal with Blekko to include their malware in Ad-Aware and disguise as a security program. Goodbye Lavasoft.
14. When I installed the Ad Aware recently, I was given the option to UNCHECK the Blekko toolbar, which I did. However, it was installed anyway. I uninstalled everything............ that blasted thing remains. Now, the very thing I thought lavasoft protected me from has become a part of my computer. I don't care if it's watching me, I don't want it & I feel duped. Bad form Lavasoft... You've definitely changed..

16. Hi, I downloaded and installed the file from http://www.mynicepicks.com/download/buffering/buffering.base.php. When the installation finishes ,then a message is being displayed by adware as 'Process blocked'. The process has been identified as 'GamePlayLabs(v)'. The file has no connection with 'GamePlayLabs(v)'. I tried to copy the scan log file as mentioned in the forum guidelines, but it contains a single line as 'ERR [2016] 2012/05/14 12:13:41: SDKController::CheckEngineState -> Engine not loaded' I have also attached the screenshot of the alert for your reference. Please re-investigate this issue. Thanks Sameer
