  1. Dear Lavasoft, After making a full scan today, I choosed "disinfect" for my .pst file, because I don't wanted to "delete" them. That was a huge misunderstanding, since it seems to me, that ad-aware deleted and shredded those files, instead of "disinfecting" them. I want to recover my .pst outlook files, but I can't, even with Piriform Recuva. I miss all my business emails, contacts, calendars, acount settings etc. from those files that were at those locations: C:\Users\Viktor\Documents\Outlook Files\[email protected] C:\Users\Viktor\Documents\Outlook Files\[email protected] E:\Users\Viktor\Documents\Outlook Files\[email protected] E:\1\Eta_archiv.pst Those huge files are not in the quarantine nor in the wastebin, I checked many times, they are realy deleted and shredded. Please help me on the recovery of those files or give me at least some advice. Here is the log of today's action: <?xml version="1.0"?> -<Summary> <ScanInfo EndTime="20131116T025151.066556" StartTime="20131115T214850.066556" ScanType="Full" ScanMode="Manual"/> -<InfectedObjects> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Symmi.22665" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Deleted" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="C:\Users\Viktor\Documents\Outlook Files\[email protected]" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Trojan.GenericKD.1323797" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Deleted" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="C:\Users\Viktor\Documents\Outlook Files\[email protected]" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="JS:Exploit.BlackHole.BN" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Deleted" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\1\Eta_archiv.pst" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Adware.BHO.Bprotector.1" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{311C5AED-3D6C-4C06-BE96-F9598E1F83CF}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Symmi.4048" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{285ADDE6-204F-43DB-8CB2-9C4F040C3465}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Adware.BHO.Bprotector.1" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{5D238605-C7F0-435C-8BDC-300AB0E5D5BE}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Adware.Generic.563773" ThreatType="Adware" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{8216BE61-8B64-45C3-AFCB-E307393BD032}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Adware.BHO.Bprotector.1" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{3BE52E5C-1606-41EB-9F28-1F82DED0D55E}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Adware.BHO.Bprotector.1" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{9C477EB5-FD68-4812-8F95-730E83D2384F}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Adware.BHO.Bprotector.1" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{B5401B3F-5BB1-436F-A225-62A7497556AF}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Gen:Variant.Adware.BHO.Bprotector.1" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Moved" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\AntiMalware\Quarantine\{AC975213-435E-49F7-8CA0-0E95BED7C608}_ENC2" ObjectType="File"/> <InfectedObject ThreatName="Trojan.Generic.8884821" ThreatType="Virus" ObjectStatus="Deleted" InnerObject="" ParentContainers="" ObjectPath="E:\Users\Viktor\Documents\Outlook Files\[email protected]" ObjectType="File"/> </InfectedObjects> </Summary> .
  2. I ran a scan and a trojan was identified. Afterwards I realized that the trojan was connected to an email in my .pst outlook file and that my entrire outlook was now gone. I have been trying without success to restore the file. I accepted the suggested action and under the report results it says that 6 files were Quaratined. Under the "Objects Detected" tab it says the Action Taken is "Moved" But there is no option to select a box and restore the item as there usually would be if it were quarantined. How do I find the deleted pst file and restore the file? You help is very much appreciated.
  3. I ran AdAware 11 Pro scan and it claimed I had a virus, so promptly deleted my entire Outlook.pst folder/file. I can now not start Outlook as it cannot fine the file. I can find no way to recover this file. I phoned AdAware and the technician says I must buy another program to get my file back. NO WAY this is extortion. How do I get this file and my emails back? Why does AdAware not have an undo function?
  4. Started a new job and the computer running XP was painfully slow. Ad-Aware has served me well for years so installed and ran it. This morning I try to load up the 5 years of archived emails from my predecessor and they will not load. I kept it both as a second profile in Outlook and backed it up as a standalone archive .pst file. Both are gone. I find no .pst files in the quarantine folder (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 11\Quarantine) and am at a complete loss on what to do next. If anyone has any suggestions please share them. This is a huge issue, and unfortunately he used POP3 so there is nothing online to pull from. If it matters, I have not reset my computer since Ad-Aware removed the files. At this point I'm nervous to do anything unnecessary in case it will make things worse or preclude me from trying something that might help. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
  5. I've installed the trial version of Ad-Aware 10.x Pro after using an earlier version previously with no issue. Since install, I no longer able to send emails through Outlook 2010. I get an error message in Outlook during Send/Receive saying the send failed. Receiving emails is fine. If I turn off Ad-Aware, emails send just fine. I have disabled the "Email Protection" feature, but this does not help. Any ideas? Thanks!
