Ad-Aware isn't working well, e.g. features cannot be activated, after the automatic upgrade to Windows 10 I have followed the directions and uninstalled Ad-Aware from Control Panel, restarted the computer and installed Ad-Aware again. no luck I have attached the logs per the following instructions in http://www.lavasofts...roubleshooting/. Ad-Aware 11.zipmsinfo32.zipmsixxxx.zip Please investigate and let me know how I can get Ad-Aware working again. Thanks, Traci

Before upgrading to Windows 10 or installing new versions of Windows 10, e.g. the November update to version 1511, please uninstall Ad-Aware from Control Panel first and after the upgrade/update install Ad-Aware again. If you have other antivirus programs, firewalls or similar programs installed, please uninstall them as well. If you didn't do that and now have problems with Ad-Aware, please see Problem after upgrade to Windows 10 or after installion of new versions of Windows 10 or Ad-Aware. .

Two alternative problem descriptions: Ad-Aware isn't working well, e.g. features cannot be activated, after you have upgraded to Windows 10 or installed a new version of Windows 10, e.g. the November update to version 1511, Ad-Aware isn't working well, e.g. features cannot be activated, after a program update, and you have upgraded to Windows 10 or installed a new version of Windows 10, e.g. the November update to version 1511, with Ad-Aware installed. In either case, please uninstall Ad-Aware from Control Panel, restart the computer and install Ad-Aware again. If Ad-Aware still isn't working well, please collect logs and other information by following the instructions in http://www.lavasofts...roubleshooting/to let Lavasoft investigate it. Start a new topic in the forum and upload the logs with your post.

At the moment the Ad-Aware servers are overloaded, probably due to so many persons wanting to upgrade to 11.2, and it's difficult to get to Lavasoft's web site in a browser, but it's also difficult for Ad-Aware 11.1 to fetch information about 11.2. The latter can give empty windows or buttons/links that don't work. Please be patient, Ad-Aware 11.1 is still working and is protecting your computer. Download and save the file first, when done you can install Ad-Aware 11.2 from the downloaded file. During the installation process, the installation program will try to connect to Lavasoft's servers. It might fail and give you an error message or a blank window but the installation should be done anyway.
  5. HI, I see a number of posts to this forum from people having issues after upgrading to Ad-Aware 10. I never see any repsonses with solutions to the problems. I am running Ad-Aware Pro 9.6.0 and have enough problems already with 9.6.0 that I am concidering dropping Lavasoft altogether. I want to upgrade and give version 10 a chance but the problems being reported here are much more serious than the problems I currently have with version 9.6.0. I see people are having serious issues that cause system level problems well outside just using Ad-Aware. My question is are these problems common or are they just happening to a very small set of people. I would like to see people post positive comments about version 10 so I can determine if I upgrading is worth the risk. Is anyone having a positive experience with the new Ad-Aware 10 product and if so what operating system are you runnign it on?
