  1. Running Windows 7 on a 2.3 GHz Quad Core AMD with 6 GB RAM. Using AV Pro v12. I use Ookla Speed Test from time to time and can no longer access a test server. When I disable AV it works. Why is this happening and how can this be fixed?
  2. Running Windows 7 on a 2.3 GHz Quad core AMD system with 6 GB RAM. Since installing AV Pro, Windows Explorer takes forever to display the contents of a folder (clocked a folder with 500 images at 3 minutes!). The green activity bar crawls along at a snail's pace. When I shut off AV response time goes back to normal. Please help. Thanks.
  3. Hi I'm an intermediate skilled computer user. But this is the first time I've posted to the forum, normally I can find what I need but not this time. I'm trying to install Adaware 12, pro version. After three days of trying this is what has happened. Firstly I had to reinstall Windows 7 due to a disk failure (Just normal wear and tear) I tried to install with bare minimum updates. I used the ones mentioned on this forum but it didn't work at this stage. So I downloaded the Windows 7 stack to get all of the updates at once. Took a day and a half and numerous restarts. Then the installer began to work. After several tries I got it up to the point "Install updater done" but no further. Once the box is closed all the files disappear from the common folder *even the adaware folder itself" I tried using the adaware updater.msi download and followed instructions but with no files in the folder I couldn't do that. One time I waited an extra long time and got the error message: "error; Msi transaction owner change failed" Would you be able to provide an offline installer please for me because my netbook has minimum requirements. i.e is slow. computerinfo.zip MSId5797.zip adaware antivirus.zip
  4. If you get the message "Error: Couldn't create process." after installation of/upgrading to adaware antivirus 12, please try: 1. Make sure that you have Service Pack 1. 2. Reboot the computer, since that sometimes solves this type of error. 3. It's very important that Windows 7 is updated, since adaware depends on the update called KB 3033929. Please try to install it: Windows 7 32 bit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=46078 Windows 7 64 bit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=46148 4. If you're using a virtual machine, there are some incompatibilities and it's not recommended. If still unsuccessful, please start a new topic in the forum.
  5. Hi; I just installed, a few weeks ago, an update to 11.14.1023.10544, which was a big hassle, but finally got it working. Now I'm getting a notice to update to 11.151046.10613 which has "improved firewall compatibility with Windows 10", but I'm still using Windows 7. Do I need to update? When I click on the Real Time Protection it says it is on, but also that "computer is at risk"...what should I do? Thanks, Harriet
  6. I don't know which version of Adaware is installed in my computer. I downloaded it few months ago. It is not completely uninstalled. It installed automatically itself but doesn't appear on control panel. I have Windows 7 I have seen this post http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?/topic/33811-couldnt-create-process-ad-aware-freeantivirus/page-2 and have downloaded the file in there. However, I haven't understood the command. Command seems to be one command starting with "cd" However, it says that press enter on each command. Can you please these commands in separate line so I can understand. Also, Is this file is valid for all windows 7 files?
  7. every thing goes fine in the installing process until it reaches the initializing phase this when I get this error and the installation rolls back and cancels running windows 7 home premium edition 64 bit attached picture of the error I got
  8. I am trying to install the latest lavasoft on my 16-bit Windows 7 machine and even though in the description it says it supports it, when I try to install it I get the following message: Unsupported 16-bit Application: The program or feature "\??\C:\Users\CHRIS~1\AppData\Local\Temp\ebda4da5-4dd0-4110-8353-f2b2988d66d3\AdAwareWebInstaller.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

  10. I have Ad-Aware Free 10.1.211.3382 on my Windows 7 system...and for some reason it shows as not activate on anything but the admin user. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it would be different for different users or how to fix this. Also, I assume this is supposed to be because they are annoying the crap out of free users to try to get them to purchase the premium version, but is it supposed to have a window open EVERY TIME YOU LOG IN and say that my computer is not protected, forcing me to click on a link to fix what's wrong and run the virus update and every day or so do a quick scan? Cannot figure out how to enable it to stay with these settings...it makes me redo them EVERY time I log in. Is there a way to change that?
