BillD 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2007 I think that only critical stuff can be quarantined, not MRU stull like before, but I could be wrong. Ad-Aware doesn't seem to find much, even with TAI = 0!
exbrummie 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2007 I think that only critical stuff can be quarantined, not MRU stull like before, but I could be wrong. Ad-Aware doesn't seem to find much, even with TAI = 0! I also tried every which way to quarantine stuff found but came to the conclusion that only critical objects can be quarantined unlike before. It's strange because I used to use AVG spyware (Paid version) and they stopped letting you quarantine as above but when I cross upgraded to the Sec. Suite, the same findings now go straight to the 'virus vault' - quarantine? Confusing as to know what should and shouldn't be allowed in there!

exbrummie 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2007 Thanks you have been most helpfull.do you think the purchase Version will allow the quarantine of all? No, I wouldn't have thought so. The quarantine function will most likely be the same. Still don't know why they have changed it though?
LS Tobias 6 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 No, I wouldn't have thought so. The quarantine function will most likely be the same. Still don't know why they have changed it though? The quarantine is really only needed for critical objects, since they are the ones that can actually do harm to your system. If you have privacy objects that you do not want to delete, you can put them in the ignore list. Regards, Tobias

gfrb 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2007 Same problem w/ ver 7.0.1.6, threats 4+ cannot be quarantined. Knowing threat exits w/o being able to eliminate it is of marginal good. I have free version, also.
LS Tobias 6 Report post Posted August 10, 2007 What is the name of the object you aren't able to quarantine? Could you post your scan log here? Regards, Tobias
