What is this and is it anything to worry about?

Greetings. I'm a newbie here but have been reading the boards for weeks. My earlier problems seemed to stop on their own, perhaps b/c of updates to the software? The worst problem was with aawservice.exe and Ad-Watch2007.exe both taking over memory useage. At about the same time that problem stopped, I began receiving exactly the same error message when closing Ad-Aware as MalcolmR reports. I'm still receiving it. Please advise.

Thanks.

Edit: I'd like to add a discovery. I only receive that Application Error when I attempt to delete the scheduled daily scan. I am not able to delete the scheduled daily scan (actually, now there's two of them). I've posted about this in another forum/thread, as have several others who are not able to delete scheduled scans.

When I close Ad-Aware without attempting to delete the scheduled scan, I do not receive this Application Error.

I'll also add this info:

Ad-Aware Plus 2007 V7.0.1.5 Current version: 0008.0000

XP Home Edition V2000 SP2 -- Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz 2.79GHZ 512MB RAM Hard drive: 55.8GB | 35.2GB free

McAfee Security Center V7.2 Build 7.2.147 -- Virus Scan V11.2 Build 11.2.124 Engine V5100.0194

McAfee Personal Firewall V8.2 Build 8.2.122 -- Site Advisor V2.4 Build 2.4.6066

Happy to provide more info upon request.

To manually remove scheduled scans, do the following:

1. Close Ad-Aware

2. Go to the start menu, choose 'Run...', type in 'Services.msc' and in the service window, stop Ad-Aware 2007 Service

3. Go to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 2007 and delete the file schedule.aaw

4. Start Ad-Aware - the scheduled tasks should now be gone.

We have found the cause of the EInvalidPointer error now and we have fixed it. It will be included in the next update.
