spike-nz 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2007 H gbarbakov, Please try the suggestions from LS Tobias in this thread: Error Codes 1720, 1316 & 2753, Problem with trying to uninstall Please try the following: 1. go to the start menu, click 'Run...' and type 'services.msc' 2. in the services window, locate 'Ad-Aware 2007 Service', select it and click 'Stop' 3. when the service is stopped, try to uninstall again If it still won't uninstall try downloading the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from here and run that It worked for AJ, who had similar problems here: Uninstall Failure - Ad-aware 2007, I am unable to uninstall ad-aware 2007 Regards, Spike Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Therese Karlin 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2007 I tried the Start/Run/services.msc option, and was able to stop the service. Still got error code 1720. Tried to download Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and got a Microsoft VBScript runtime error: ActiveX component can't create object: 'Scripting.FileSystemObject'. The code is 800A01AD. HELP!
