CEAPl.dll woes continue!

Recommended Posts

Hi Peter,

I appreciate the informative update. I am assuming the quote in your post came from Lavasoft?

Hopefully they (Lavasoft) will figure it out. Your continuing inquiries on the subject have to be helping them.

Thanks and regards,

Yes, that quote came from Lavasoft. It is out a private forum for us oldies :) who have been beta testing for about a year.

They are now able to bring up the error at will and are analyzing it. Still no reply from S&D - I also reported it to them.

2 hearts4ever, here is some good news for you!!!!!

Hi Peter and everybody else

I can inform you that this bug has been fixed in the coming release of Ad-Aware 2007.

For some reason, Spybot S & D changes Opera cookie4.dat file during the immunization process, this was why Ad-Aware service crashed during the scan of Opera cookies

Hi Peter,

Good new it is!

I thank you for all your help in getting to the bottom of this problem.

When they say it will be fixed with the next release of Ad-Aware 2007 do they mean a new program release or the next program update?

Thanks and regards,

2heart4ever, any news as I have not had indications. There is a new version of Opera available.

I'll be shutting down over Xmas for a few days so have a good one.

Hi Peter,

No new news on this end.

I updated my Opera to the new version but the 'CEAPI.dll' woes still continue when you let Ad-Aware scan Opera cookies. :)

I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too. :D

Maybe Lavasoft will have this sorted out by the time the holidays are over.

Regardless ... enjoy them!

Thanks and regards,

Morning Peter,

I'll probably be reprimanded for this link.

I hope not because everyone needs some humor in their life. You made me laugh out loud and I needed that!

Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and yours,

Just a quick update. It will be a program update to AAW to fix the Opera problem. No time frame given but at least it will be fixed.

2harts4ever, there has been a program update and hopefully this has fixed your problem with Opera.

Let me know how it goes. You may have to run the update twice like me as not all updates are picked up the first time round. B)

BTW This topic has had over 1100 hits so we must be popular. :)

Hi Peter,

BULLSEYE!!

The program update did it. :D The CEAPl.dll woes are history ... at least for the time being ...lol

I updated Ad-Aware and then had it check all cookies -- including Opera -- and all is well once again. I ran two scans and both completed with no problems.

Hope it solved everyone elses' woes too.

Thanks and regards,
