System Error: 1810

Recommended Posts

I have been an Ad-Aware user for as long as I can remember. I am running Windows XP SP2.

Only recently I have been having similar problems as other members with regard to Ad-Aware 2007 and “System Error†1810....

I have tried removing the program and re-installing it. No luck!

I have followed Forum directions with regard to > Start > Run> Services.Msc> Highlighting Ad-Aware 2007 Service.

It is here where I run into another problem. Once in Services.....In the Local window it does not display the option to Stop and Start. Not in the Local Window or in the Action section.

Where do I go from here???

Would appreciate advice....

Hi,

Right-clicking the service in the list should bring the menu to start / stop / restart.

If not, be sure you're connected to Windows as an administrator.

Hope this helps

Michel

Michel,

Thank you very much. I had success and the Ad-Aware 07 is functioning well. Much appreciated.

I'm getting an 1810 too. What list? Please explain. Task manager processes list? What is the .exe abbreviation I'm looking for?

Hi Kagan,

We're not talking about Task Manager's list but the services which are running through Windows' session.

You can get to this list by clicking : Start > Run> Services.Msc

Once here, highlight Ad-aware service and right-click it to get the menu to stop and restart.

@SICUSA : glad to help. :(

Bye

Michel
