renay 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 HI ALL: I recently installed the free version of AdAware 2007 because SE wouldnt update anymore. However, I cannot get it to update without disabling my Norton firewall. I never had trouble updating SE with this firewall active, and I have configured it to permit all AdAware 2007 communication but still no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Raziel von Nosgoth 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 Hi sinan set Firewall Security level to 'safe mode ' ( firewall is learning and alerts you ). 'Defence and Security Level' also. Open Comodo from time to time, locate 'Summary' /'Proactive Defence' / ...files waiting for your review and enter. Checkmark all trusted entries and move them to ' My Own Safe Files... sinan 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 Thanks Raziel. It looks like "make sure to configure the Ad-Aware WebUpdate settings. In Ad-Aware 2007->WebUpdate->Proxy settings. Save the new settings and try a webupdate again" is not availabe on free version. It seems that either I d/l defintions manually or uninstall it. Thanks again.
