Corrupt Definition File

Recommended Posts

Oh, and my ad-aware seems to find only 1 infection.

Can Ad-aware track that 1 infection, without actually using the core.aawdef :) ?

Hopefully not.. ;)

I am having the same exact problem on an XP SP3 machine. Corrupt Definition Files. Have done everything that LS Calamity Jane has suggested, but to no avail. Still get the message

Btw. I would like to know, what is the "Signature" for. In some people's signatures I've seen information about their computer and some are having lavasoftsupport forum rules. So what is the meaning of "signature" (my deleted signature propably wasn't your favorite. Darn, if I would have a screenshot of it, I could put it in here, or photobucket  ).

My usual "Signature" is something along the lines of "Time flies like an arrow - fruit flies like a banana"...is that perhaps more helpful...?

BTW...I have no current operational issues with AAW 2008 - just GUI recommendations...

Hi Linnux...well the "Signature" area is for whatever you feel is most relevant.

In my case, I find it useful to display my OS, and other information relevant to the software forum that I happen to be on (LS / AVG etc).

On an F1 Racing forum, it'll probably be...well, that'd be telling...

Note to self: Add CClean and version number...
