Just to follow up my last post. I did get rid of Lavasoft Ad-aware version 8 because it was just too slow at 2.5 minutes to load and no reply ever received from the Lavasoft technical support. I now used a program called Spyware Blaster version 4.2 that is incredibly fast and far better.

It's not really faster or better. It's different since it doesn't have resident real-time protection like Ad-Watch - similar to Spybot. I use SpywareBlaster and Spybot's for passive protection only (browser hijacks, cookies, host file, Active-X, etc).

Also, SpywareBlaster does not run in memory like Ad-Watch does.
