RubyTues99 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 I am attempting to uninstall Ad-Aware 2008 v7.1.0.7 and evidently I am missing the installation package in my program files\common files folder. It will not allow me to uninstall and I cannot install the current version of Ad-Aware over it, as it wants to uninstall the old version first, and I get the same error. I've searched my entire computer for the installation package and was unable to locate it. Any ideas on how I can successfully uninstall?

RubyTues99 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 I tried Revo at one point to no avail, but... after I posted my question, I noticed the uninstall topic for SE and 2007 and decided to try that suggestion for my 2008. I downloaded v7.1.0.8 from FileHippo.com (since v7.1.0.7 was not offered) to my desktop and ran it. One of the options was uninstall, so I selected that and it uninstalled successfully. I was then able to install the current version of Ad-Aware. Thanks!
