Bug magnet 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 Hi all, i have been using the Freeware version for years now and have never had reason to complain or worry, so much so it must be the first tool i have downloaded that didn't require serveilance and constant help requests through a forum. Untill now that is. About a week ago everything just stopped working. I have not installed anything new for months as i work with tools i have known for years. When going into 'services.msc' i see that the automatic is already activated and when i try to start the service i get this message error 1067 Thanks in advance for any pointers. I really don't want to find another product as i like this one and obviously i haven't got hours to spend looking and testing different options. So i will give it a short while hoping for a solution before googling for something else as i really don't like leaving my machine partially insecure. visitor 3 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 You may be infected with something that has compromised Ad-Aware. Read the instructions for posting in the HijackThis forum via the links in my signature. Copy/paste your symptoms or link to this topic, and there someone can help diagnose/remove any malware. Once your system gets a clean bill of health, post back here if you still can't get it running.
