un-quarantine

Recommended Posts

Go to advanced mode scan settings to find the Quarantine tab. Screenshots in the users manual:

Choose an action from the drop-down menu, then click the green "Perform Actions Now" button.

I followed these instructions and nothing happened, the items were not returned to my system and can still be seen in the quarantine folder; i also noticed that they all now appear in the ignore list as well. I also noted that the first time i selected the "restore" option that it reset back to"do nothing" as i scrolled down to do other files, so i ended up restoring each one by its self. Please help me to restore these files (will report the false positives after i get them back)

Gary.

I recall there being a bug with the GUI, but it was with version 8.1 or 8.2 - changes didn't show up as you scroll down, like you describe. After performing the actions, then closing the GUI and reopening, do the changes appear then?

I'll notify Lavasoft of the unquarantine problem and link to this thread. But this is the first I've heard of it, so not sure if it's widespread or system-specific. They prioritize by number of reports, and need to be able to replicate the problem on their systems.

I have exactly the same problem trying to restore files from quarantine. The "perform action" button change the action from restore back to no action and the file is not restored, but does appear on the ignore list. Just like the other forum entry.
