Start scan with keyboard

Recommended Posts

Hi. My mouse pointer has stopped moving. I tried several mice and am sure it isn't hardware.

I suspect that it may be malware stopping the mouse pointer moving, but can't start an Ad-aware (free) scan by using the keyboard.

Any ideas? Thanks

Check out p. 68 - 69 of the pdf manual, Command Line Parameters:

e.g.

C:\>Ad-AwareCommand.exe scan full

C:\>Ad-AwareCommand.exe scan smart

He said, he uses the free version. I know that Command Line support is in the Pro version only. There is the bottom of page 68. (Pro).

I don't have any idea :S Try start your system in Safe-mode, it's possible, that the infected service does not start in this mode.

Good luck!

Hey there,

Reboot your system into safe mode and then try to execute a Ad-aware scan, booting into safe mode will disable alot of malware cause safe mode will only start the basic service's for windows too operate ( e.g your mouse driver ). if that fails remove the infected/patched mouse driver/software and reinstall it then preform a Scan.

Thank You
