ad-aware process determination

Question

I went through the uninstall process to get ad-aware off of my machine because it was consuming too much resources. After doing the "normal" unstallation, I found that ad-aware was still using memory. I used the Windows Task Manager to stop the process and it did for some minutes when I found my machine slowing down and I went back to the task manager to find ad-aware had reappeared on the processes.

What do I need to do to get ad-aware off of my machine?

Why does Ad-aware take so much of my resources.

Why could I readily find an answer to this question on FAQ?
