Connection error, check your setting

Recommended Posts

Having the "Connection error" message after updating the latest defination in 10% range for 2 days now.
Anybody encounter the same problem lately (was fine for a while)? Tried the service's "stop" & "re-start" route. Any other solutions besides uninstall this V8.1.4 and/or install the whole core defination under V8.2.x?

Hello everyone

The updates on 8.1.4 should now be resolved.

However, I HIGHLY recommend that everyone updates to the 9.0 version. With the speed at which the malware industry changes, you need to keep your technology up to date to ensure your protection. If you are using an old version you are not as protected as you should be, so once again, I highly recommend you get the latest version.

Regards,
Jeff - Lavasoft

The wait-out pays off. Mine is being updated to 0149.0687 this morning without any trick. Lavasoft must fix internally something during the weekend. Wish this won't repeat often at all.
