Regressing to Ad-Aware Free

I have paid for Ad-Aware and am a long-time user of the system. I do not frequently run scans and have not done so since mid-November.

When I launched the program yesterday to run a scan, I was surprised to see that my version of Ad-Aware Pro had reverted to Ad-Aware FREE. This is the second or third time this has happened.

Is anyone else experiencing this type of problem? Any ideas regarding what must be done to prevent this from happening? My guess is that when the system updates, it is downloading the wrong version of the code.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi AnitaTierney,

Since you have bought the product you can use the Lavasoft support instead of this forum with volunteers. See this post by LS Digger Barnes for links:

I guess you know how to set it to Pro again, but if not, please, see the FAQ: http://www.lavasoft.com/mylavasoft/support/supportcenter/faqs/why-has-my-adaware-license-reverted-to-the-free-edition
It is written for an old version of Ad-Aware but most of it is still correct. But you probably need to click "Register" on the Main screen instead of "Manage license".
