Error: 'The invocation of the constructor on type ....

Question

Hi,

I recently bought a Surface Pro 3 and installed Ad-Aware + Web Companion. On every start up, I'm getting the following error message:

Error: 'The invocation of the constructor on type 'WebCompanion.UI.Views.BrowserHomepageSettingsView' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception.' Line number '107' and line position '10'.

What is this and how might I be able to get this this fixed? Have already sent error report, but wondering if I can take the problem in my own hands ... Thanks a lot for any tips!

Hi aiya,

Thank you for contacting us about this matter.

Currently, our software is not compatible with tablets (even though the Surface does run on Windows).

The first step I recommend that you do is to verify if you have .Net Framework 3.5 or higher. This is a requirement for our software to run properly on any machine.

Please verify this and let us know if this helps.

Thanks!

Sophie

Hi Denise,

We will look into this matter further and hopefully be able to provide a compatible installer for your Tablet in the near future.

Thank you :)

Sophie
