can't turn on network protection after win 10 update

Question

Hi,

 

After a recent update to Windows 10 I'm unable to turn on Network Protection in Ad Aware 11 Pro. The button is greyed out. I've read through the various posts on this topic and here's what I've tried:

1. Did a "repair" via the control panel

2. Did a complete un-install and re-install (now at version 11.10.767.8917)

3. Followed the instructions here: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?/topic/34208-cannot-enable-features-of-ad-aware-in-windows-8x/

 

Nothing helped. My log files are attached. Would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I'm sorry, rdana, my contact person has been very busy this week with two other persons in the forum with very serious problems. I'll remind her as soon as possible.

Hi again rdana,

Lavasoft asks if you allow them to connect to your computer to try to solve the problem. You'll see everything they do, and you'll be able to stop them and communicate with them. If you accept it, please send me your email address and when you're available in a PM. Lavasoft will respond in another PM and later on send you a file by email.
