AdAware Registry

I need to know if my computer was compromised or if I am just seeing something show up on an AdwCleaner scan as a false positive. I had Ad-Aware installed on my computer at one point.

Could these registry entries have come from Ad Aware or another LavaSoft product?

PUP.Optional.Legacy, [Key] - HKU\S-1-5-21-367076768-2010601122-3727392110-1001\Software\AppDataLow\Software\adawarebp
PUP.Optional.Legacy, [Key] - HKCU\Software\AppDataLow\Software\adawarebp

EDIT: I installed an old version of adaware, and it appeared to create the " HKCU\Software\AppDataLow\Software\adawarebp" key. If a moderator could just verify themselves or explain why the key persists after uninstallation, that'd be great.

Hi Oldersiddhu,

I think it's Ad-Aware Browsing Protection (Security Toolbar) that created those keys. It wasn't really a part of Ad-Aware Antivirus but optional. Isn't it listed separately in the list of installed programs or in the browser's list of installed add-ons and therefore needs a separate uninstallation?
