Solution For " Error Retrieving Updates. Interrupts At 5% Download Completion "

The problems with ISP/Error Retrieving Update issues has now been fixed.

 

The problem produces the Ad-Aware SE warning: "Error retrieving updates" when performing a webupdate. It interrupts at 5% download completion .

( If your update stalls at another point than at 5 %, your problem stems from another issue.

Ad-Aware SE Personal

 

At first, uninstall any previous version of Ad-Aware.

When uninstalled, use the link below to access the NEW Ad-Aware SE installation file.

http://download.lavasoft.com/personal/aawsepersonal.exe

 

Download and begin the installation process. (you may need to disable your Firewall to allow for downloads).

When the installation is complete, open Ad-Aware and "check for updates", update to the latest definitions file.

 

Ad-Aware SE Plus and Ad-Aware SE Professional

 

At first, uninstall your previous version of Ad-Aware.

Secondly, log into the Support Center and download the NEW installation file.

 

Download and begin the installation process. (you may need to disable your Firewall to allow for downloads).

When the installation is complete, open Ad-Aware and "check for updates", update to the latest definitions file.
