Can't Download The Free Edition

HI,

My daughter bought a new laptop and we are trying to download the free edition of ad-aware se. It downloads fine, but when she tries to update, she gets a box that says " SSL download failed" under that it says, "suggested action, run webupdate". And when she tries to do the update, it goes right back to that error box.

 

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

This issue have been addressed in detail in other threads on this forum, but try to disable your firewall prior to update.

 

Another way is to white list /allow download.lavasoft.com in the firewall.
